... had. Ever. So moist! Mmmm. My first night in Phitsanulok was spent in a hotel, since my new bed hadn't arrived yet. But at least the TV had English speaking channels!

The next day, my first at the school I went to the school, but had no classes so I sat in on Anna's, one of my new roommates from New Zealand. The students were so full of enthusiasm and life, so much more than in the US. And they were very curious about me too. However, the ...
Phitsanulok, Thailand paisleyplaid... aateltu luiskahtaa parin paivan sisaan Laosin puolelle turvaan :)
Tanaan kaytiin laheisessa Sukhothain ...
Phitsanulok, Thailand willeseitamoHoi iedereen!
Phitsanulok, Thailand kikotiel... the reality of this very moment within ourselves, we are able to come out of our misery, with our suffering. Once again, I feel so blessed to have come into contact with this technique! I would like to share one of my favorite poems with you, as I feel it addresses many of the lessons learned in meditation. I first came across this poem when volunteering in rural Panama. It was printed in a newsletter sent out to all volunteers and I could feel ...
Phitsanulok, Thailand truddick... back to be made milder!!! Had an early start to go on what we thought was a day long tram tour of the city taking you around 15 different sights. First we got totally lost and were over half an hour late, then got on a random bus which magically dropped us where we were meant to be, then found out our tram was just about to leave!! However, the 'day tour' took 45 minutes, was all in Thai and they would have been scraping the barrel at five sights never mind 15!!
Phitsanulok, Thailand paulandnic... so I plan on soaking it up for the next two months. All of the fellow female servers seem bent on teaching me Thai and I am actually feeling good about my ability to get around on my own. I am suprised by the amount of Thai that I know. Every once in a while I actually get the inclination to come back to become a nun for a little while. I know, I think I'm crazy, too! Yesterday was a very nice day. An old ...
Phitsanulok, Thailand cleatuslives... royal emblem on. There are huge pictures of the king everywhere and there are many stalls selling royal paraphinalia. This place is going to go off the scale on Wednesday, when we will be in Chiang Mai, it should be a hell of a do!!! Whilst taking in the pretty river scene's we heard some boomingly loud techno tunes, coming from the walled area above us. Which turned out to be a massive stage and speakers, with an aerobic ...
Phitsanulok, Thailand shelleypp... here, and honestly it suffered in comparison to the streetside massage in Chiang Mai. Our bodies were steteched, pulled, twisted, and partially lifted off the bed, not the most relaxing massage, but a good one. Javier`s two cents: I suspect the masseuses of being escaped sadist convicts out to cause internal bleeding on the unsuspecting.
Sukhothai, Thailand arleneandjavier... we've seen. The town is pretty quiet after 7pm except for the outdoor aerobics which appears to motivate a huge crowd (photo) and Dom (no photo). The garden guest house was pretty good, helpful and always showing english films, of course we had noisy girls next door!! Just before we leaving had a foot massage outside Wat Mahatat where we tried to learn the thai alphabet, but with 44 letters we only managed this photo.
Sukothai, Thailand sidom... is so well stocked is that to celebrate birthdays, weddings or anytime you would by a gift the local custom is to buy a fish and the recipient casts it into the lake where it is protected and so it will be free of danger forever. everybody say aahhhh. We discovered this as we were sat on the lake edge sipping a cheap bottle of Chang beer. Nearby a woman was feeding the fish and saw fit to strike up a conversation with the dishevelled, vagrant looking Westerners.
