... We had been put walking all day and were shattered so the cab ride was appreciated. Met everyone, we then all took multiple camera shots and had cocktails while watching the sun go down, even though it was a little cloudy, the venue is gorgeous. Off to Biku for dinner. Great meal and so cheap, then walked down the road to Bambu. We had drinks and dessert which were also fantastic.

Off on our separate ways after saying goodbye to Tony and Vicki who travel back home ...

... by. The countdown to flying out of Bali almost became some sort of doomsday event. I don't really want to leave but know I must. My flights to Amsterdam all booked I eventually dragged myself away from Asia for the last time during this trip and head off for pastures new in Europe before eventually heading back to England. It's been hard to drag myself away but I have no complaints or regrets whatsoever. Asia has been amazing to me and I know I will return again some day.

It will pose a challenge when you have to stand upright on surfboards and arch your back and ride the waves. Make sure you are under observation of a coach. With all that you will simply achieve what you had been in Bali for: catching a wave.

After speaking to about ten people from the company and lots of complaining we finally got put in a taxi with two Norwegian girls and off we went to Candi dasa, our next stop. When we were dropped by a hostel the taxi driver had recommended it took us ages to find accommodation that was in our price range and included breakfast. ... islands) almost nothing happens. ALL the locals spend the day in silence. A 24 hour curfew for all - possible arrest for anyone on the streets. No shops will be open. The beaches will be vacant, the airport closed. I read in the local
newspaper that as a special concession tourists will still be fed and watered, but I doubt alcohol will be available.
