    ... not an easy task but we are getting pretty savvy and parking a bit like italians,in the minute-est of spaces ) ...... We discover that Nonna had decided to take the day off and had taped a little notice on the door !!!!!!! Damn you Nonna .....
    So, we end up with a panini and espresso, disappointed , but there was an interesting Lavazzo coffee poster in the cafe ..... And VERY good coffee.

    ... area then went to sit in the food cart area. Lucky it was only a short 30 min train ride to Florence. We were happy we made it! We checked into our hotel then went for food! We did a lot of eating in Italy! We walked into the city center, it was hot and packed with tourist standing in line to see things the David statue and the cathedral.     ... of the streets that had pita bread filled with ham and cheese. I scored one of those and washed it down with fizzy water and an ice cream.

    ... So we called in there on our way back and indulged. I scored three scoops and Annette two. I probably have two scoops too many! One more story. DT's or speedos for you oldies, is why all males of my vintage wear. Board shorts are not the worn thing. There I go, not in fashion yet again!

    We are now back at the hotel, sitting out the front under the awning using the WiFi. Will post this entry and off to bed. Another big and hot day tomorrow.

    ... secondary road for about 10km and then we hit the beach. Wow. Umbrella areas set up in front of cafes and huts. The umbrellas were grouped in their colours - yellow and green, yellow and white, red and blue. A marvelous sight, just like you see in magazines and in the movies. There were heaps of people on the beaches, sun baking on the banana lounges and swimming in the beautiful blue water.
