Final distance travelled: 3,850 nautical miles

The cruise had now officially ended. Out of our cabin by the required time of 07:45. No sign of Pika, our cabin steward, or as Roisin had christened him 'Pikey'. All I could think of adding was calling him, in my best pompous Capt. Mainwaring voice ‘stupid boy’!!

I honestly didnt expect a trip to Italy would be this chill. The islands of Venice were more like the image of Venice that I had before coming here. It was like a stage set more than an actual city. Burano was a community in itself and it was really nice to imagine how everybody will know each other. I would want to come live in Burano when I am old but I guess that would be difficult since I was never part of their community.

... our apartment (over the Rialto bridge again!). It was a nice place and we had the whole kitchen to ourselves and in a great location so we had no complaints. After settling in we went to walk around. We wet pretty tired so we stuck to the area around the bridge and just walked along the streets checking out all the shops and restaurants.
