... and had wine overlooking the Grand Canal watching all of the Gondolas, Vaporetto's and water taxis pass by. We went to see the Doge Palace and the Bridge of Sighs.
We walked for hours and headed back to the hotel where we could hear the water lapping against the hotel below our window every time a boat went past.

Smashing weather again allowed us to have breakfast overlooking a canal in the morning, followed by a Gondola ride around the Rialto side of the island The kids and I headed off to check out the Campanile tower while Gab had some shipping time only to see a massive queue 5 times larger than the day before. ... restaurant. Dinner was a feast and there were so many courses they just kept on coming. We also experience our first real Italian vino, 2 litre style it's so big.
