    We kept a low profile today, slept in which felt amazing. The way we accomplished this? We setup a new way to watch a movie for them in their room. I know, bad parents. But nice for Rick & I to have a little alone time. Rained all day today so it was a good day for keeping a low profile.

    ... the one site we could get to (Miamisburg Mound) and then decided to go antiquing!

    Miamisburg was a high mound that had obviously been used and built up many times. Another set of steps to the top that we did not take...informational board stated that the mound was cleared of brush each year during the spring, but it seems that funding might be running low for parks since the mound had not been cleared...

    With the rain out of the area, we had a great day of exploring and hiking. A morning visit to Shrum Mound, which can be seen roadside at Campbell Park. Built at least 2000 years ago by the Adena Culture. Nicely preserved by the Historical society - looks like they just recently cleared all of the trees that were growing out of the mound. Two paths lead to the top but Robin and I couldn't bring ourselves to walk up there - seeming ...
