    ... bit by the dog then get put in a torture chamber which is horrifying to see around the camp with the prisoners is to big barb wire fences the are 100 volts with a guard in between with a gun and a dog. Then every 20 metres are towers with guards with shot guns and also there is a big barb wire fence around the whole camp with the generals house in it to ...

    ... in severe pain, we are pleased to that the operation went well, and Sylvia is very likely to fully recover from her ordeal in 3 to 4 months. Walking is a really big deal for her, and most days she's out and about walking her dog through the beautiful local forests, usually for several hours each day. She just HAS to be fully walking again - there is no other choice :) ! And she will.

    ... found a big oak tree in a field to sit under for lunch. Our spot had an amazing view. From lunch onwards we walked through a mix of forest and fields and ended up at a cafe where we consumed a considerable amount of cold drink, eventuring some localls beer. I particularly enjoyed the Swiss drink, Rivera.

    Wednesday 26 August
    Lovely Margreet got up early to give us a ride to Assen station for a 7am train. We said goodbye to our reliable tent and the wonderful environment of Westevelde.

    We had no problem getting on the right train but within the first hour our luck changed. The first disruption was due to signal failure. All trains from the north couldn't go further than Meppal. Big crowds built for the replacement buses. The buses couldn't keep up with demand. It took 30 mins ...
