    27 June I seemed to have booked our flight to Hanoi in the middle of the day. So we killed a day travelling. I sat next to this guy from Hanoi who had done his BA at ANU back in the 70s. He was telling me all about the power supply and Russian influence in their infrastructure development and blackmarket coal to China and all sorts of stuff.     ... it was unsurprisingly named as the world's ugliest building by CNN. I think I've seen a few uglier buildings myself, but I doubt CNN has ever been to Basildon.
