... and then around the corner we came across the real reason for the beaten up truck,,, a mangled motor bike across the road,,,,the glass from the trucks windscreen all across the road !!!! We now know that this accident had just happened, that the driver of the truck thought that the best thing to do was to drive with the motor bike driver as he had landed,,,IN his Trucks Windscreen,,, and take him straight to hospital. ... The salon was about 5 mins walk from the hotel. When I went in to the salon the boss still hadn’t arrived. The lady called her boss and while I was waiting two blokes with an Aussie accent came to the shop and started talking to the lady. I overheard the lady say that they should come back at around 8pm. ... afternoon we returned to the hotel and showered before heading out for some dinner. We both realised that despite our best attempts, we had both burnt after 2 months being covered up in cold countries. Chris had burnt his feet and Annabelle had burnt her back, oh dear.

We went back to the local cafe for dinner which was again excellent and then stocked up on some much needed supplies of sun cream and Aloe Vera ...

... paradise. It was however, almost empty. A sunning couple and some dude ringing a bell on the end of the pier. The beach is called, Turtle Beach. Back in the day turtles used to lay their eggs here. Sadly, they stopped coming as people would come and take the eggs to eat or camp on the beach overnight, disrupting the pattern of the turtles. Since then, they have stopped this from happening and have started a sanctuary for the turtles and are hatching the eggs for them ...

... at 6.30pm so we watched that on the way. The birds are huge with massive yellow bills and they catch the banana as the guy throws it.
