    ... it, and then it decided to take us through a tiny mountain village where the roads were so narrow we barely had a couple of inches on either side of the car !! So all in all some exciting moments, but the best bit about the trip was the scenery yet again - breathtaking ...

    Today we move on to Policoro. It's a beautiful sunny day again and very warm. We set off on the main road and the deviate via Citvia.     ... watching the sun go down. We had a new neighbour who had just arrived and staying a couple of nights, an American chap, who seemed very pleasant and chatty. Dinner at the restaurant we found was fairly rustic but a bit more reasonable then quite a few of the places we had seen. My pasta was fine but I enjoyed the meal we had the previous evening more.     ... long conversation using a translating app on our IPad. It turned out that he wanted us to take in some of the sights of a near by town and in particular a wonderful old castle.

    So, rather than disappoint the guy by indicating that we just wanted to rest up we jumped straight back into Travis and headed off on the 16 kilometre round trip to find a castle that we didn't really want to see anyway.

    ... move back into some of the original cave houses - a site truly worth our diversion to see. After Matera we eventually made it to our final targeted destination of Frascineto at about 3:30pm. Tonight we've been invited to have dinner with the elderly couple of the house in our B&B which is going to be quite interesting as the lovely lady does not speak a word of English.
