... us all! We only had the one day to explore Ventiane so 7 am the following morning saw us out and about in the town. We were so fortunate to be at the main Wat ( Buddhist temple ) and saw all the people streaming in on their way to work to bring in their offerings - baskets of food, flowers, steamed rice and money. Such generosity!! We then went on to the Cope Centre........ I don't think many of us realize how the country of Laos was affected ...
... X-rated products. It is a completely different experience than back home. I ventured out alone for dinner at a fantastic little 24-hour diner down the street. I had a great noodle dish and tea for 105 baht, that's $3.50 USD. So exciting!
The group gets here tomorrow, and I am so excited!
That's all for now!
Until next time,

... I got them to take a picture during this as it felt so official, I was quite a fan of it. After they made all of the markings, they said are you sure you don't want another suit maybe a brown one or dark blue one. I had been thinking about getting a black one but thought it was too late. Like heck was I going to let on to this though, I said I had suits at home and then bargained with myself in my head to what I thought would be a good price so I said asked about the price ...
... the crunchiest mofo I have ever eaten. I hope Bear would have been proud. We moved on to the Ratchadamnoen Boxing Stadium to watch Muay Thai. I was clearly supporting anyone in a red short. The crowd got into a right frenzy. We don't know what the hell was going on with all the hand gestures and hypnotic music playing in the background oh and the strange pre fight dancing/ritual moves. To get back to the hotel we began walking so we could flag down a cab. A mile down the road we ...
... souvenirs from this market, and the fresh fruit and array of food is incredible! I highly recommend trying banana fried in coconut and spices - miss it to this day! The water in the river below is very polluted and dirty, noticing a few dead animals including a floating baby croc.
Other touristic highlights include The Grand Palace,The Emerald Buddha as well as The Big Buddha, all of which are ...

It was sunday afternoon when i arrieved at Sukhumvit International Airport, a black limousine is waiting ouside to service me going to my accomodation at the newly openned DoubleTree by Hilton at the centre of Sukhumvit road, Bangkok. Approaching the checkin counter, you will see many smiles from their young and friendly staff, welcoming me with a newly baked cookie to promote their so called 'Cookie' culture. Everyone address you by name as if they knew me for the longest time, in which i must admit makes me feel the hospitability of Thai people. After filling in the guest form, i was escorted going to my room for a good relaxation after hours of travel from Manila airport. The hotel is right beside Hilton Sukhumvit which is set to open in the coming months. Double Tree has 2 outlets, nice food by the way, a fitness centre and a pool. It has almost 200 rooms welcoming every guest with a distinc Hilton culture.
