... cut on my left ring finger so not too bad. Of course the newbie had to quit long before the experts and sit up in the shelter where the breeze was blowing. One thing I did learn was just how much and how often Thai people eat. Oh and of course the introduction into real Thai food not what is on the menu in Thai restaurants abroad. Some of this is not for those with weak stomachs but I was there and saw it, just didn't eat all of it ...

... made even worse by the ever winding and hilly roads. The route between Pai and Chiang Rai has something like over 700 curves. To validify the fact that our driver was ?confident?.. he would pass going up a hill on a corner, honk and nearly run over motorcycles and tailgate buses and other large vehicles as though seperated by some magic magnet. Two youngBritish guys pleaded for him to slow down and the lone Thai passenger cchucked her ...

... the bus rides. I also am down to 73 Kilos, a weight I haven't seen for 20 years or more. The bus ride to Bangkok had me seated next to a young Thai Lurch. He slept on me the whole trip, regardless of my efforts to push him off of me. I guess I was his shoulder to lean on. I watched the amazingly painted tour buses pass and realized that I love going somewhere new, always. I love living a life with an edge. I want to forever be an adventurer.
One more bus ride to ...
