      ... nest which is loads....looks more like Quail or Partaridge eggs now but could be something rare so worth getting. The Golden Sheaf Park was a lovely RV park next to a huge lake so we spent a bit of time by the lake whilst birder Ben took lots of pictures.
      We also got shown a great horned owl that had taken up residence at the park and given birth to two chicks which were now pretty big. Both the mum and one ...

      ... front row -- ah well at
      least I was first off!!

      My niece's birthday last night and a casual pizza meal with all attending - enjoyable.

      oh yes, thunder showers here today - lilacs about the same as Ottawa but other flowers not yet
      as advanced.

      Quick tour of Medicine Hat this morning and stop for coffee - going to an 'inside' farmer's market
      this evening - will include dinner -- looking forward to that!

      We had hit the road at 7 am, and stopped for a bite at TIm Horton's. All was well leaving the Hat, except for the construction on the #3 Highway. That chewed into our time a little, but we made good time to the border and after a half an hour there waiting in line, we were through and on our way to Great Falls.

      ... at the Real Canadian Superstore and then had lunch at the Tourist Information Centre, where the big attraction was the playground.

      After lunch, we drove to Cypress Hills. There was a great Visitor Information Centre, complete with an (indoor) fishing pond for the kids. Before heading to our campsite, we cooled off at the beach. Seta showed off her skill with her new soaker gun.
