... using only our own money and no loans, so we've been living frugally. This trip is no exception. We even considered not taking a trip this year, but there's too much tradition at stake to do that. Our goal on this trip is to have as much fun as humanly possibe for as little cost as possible. Kind of like back ...

Even though we have setting up and leaving 'camp’ down pat – you’d be amazed at what you might forget (especially if it’s early in the morning or later in the evening). The things you forget can mean disaster (e.g., one time we left the brake on in the tow car and had to replace the ...

SadVille/akaCincinnati, Kentucky, United States polesana... get my hands on. I think that when this trip is over, we'll have to plan another to Northern Ireland. I have found a lot of places I would love to see...but many of them are up North. My list includes: Carrowkeel Cemetary above Lough Arrow. They have one special burial chamber that is lit by the sun on the day of the summer solstice - June 21 - as opposed to the winter solstice. I would love to see the Giant's Causeway. It is bizare with ...

Cincinnati, Ohio, United States gfunk576... north was just like the one south: the checkpoint near Aqaba, and then the long desert drive. We made one other stop this time, so the driver could use the restroom, and arrived in central Amman about 10:00 pm. We again took two taxis, this time out to the airport which is 30 or 40 miles from the city center: we arrived about 11:00 and waited in the lobby until allowed to enter the check-in area. All went smoothly. The trip home took about 34 hours of travel time ...
Cincinnati, Ohio, United States joelmeekerI am trying to attach the videos I tried so many times before on what I though was highspeed - I hope it works. The first is of the street sounds in Kathmandu fairly late at night and the second is in Biratnagar when I first arrived and staying in a hotel. Take out the the honking horns and it would nearly be a silent movie. Enjoy! Over the next week I hope to get all the "old" movies up
Cincinnati, Ohio, United States mrcwoodsman... to get on the road. Carolyn fixed a wonderful breakfast of eggs and fresh fruit. Always great to see her, like coming home. Newport, Kentucky, United States cochranfamily... t use washrags. You must use the bidet to clean certain parts of your body. Some of the cars in Europe are so small, they come with a shoe horn as standard equipment. European men don't wear short pants but do wear Capri's. I thought the drivers in Rome were crazy until I witnessed the traffic circling around the Arc de Triumphe People in Rome will park anywhere Dont complain about gas prices, the Europeans pay $5-6/gallon and have for a long time. Of course ...
