... Christmas Eve festivities.

  • Christmas dinner buffet at a hotel named, "World Trade Centre Hotel Shanxi China."
  • ***Note no gifts this year to eachother. Delayed gratification ;)***

  • It was a pretty good first Christmas without the traditions we are used to. However, I am happy to say we have created some new traditions together that will continue for years to come!!! ...

    ... horns, and daily exercise. We have had pockets of fun here and there since we've arrived. We are now regulars at a foreigners pub called UK Impressions, half-off beef cheese burgers on Thursdays. (YUM!) Starting to Create memories with new friends, learning some Chinese, and laughing way more often than not! =)
    Side note** I'm starting to consider that maybe purchasing gloves wouldn't be such a bad ...

    As mentioned before, the amount of bricks thrown at us, felt endless... until we arrived here. My mother-in-law mentioned to us in a recent e-mail that the people of China hold you in their hearts forever. The warm welcome we received at the airport on the day we arrived was one I will never forget. Two of the absolute cutest young chinese women holding signs, one saying "Benjamin" the other saying "Christina", colored bright for us to see.

    ... on and longer legs! Slowly, slowly we moved forward, you could feel the mud on the road and I was just hoping I didn't slip over because everything would have gone under. The waters were up to the top of my thighs! And it was dark. What an adventure. I wasn't game to take a picture in case I dropped the iPad. Hard enough concentrating on where my feet were going! Ah China! Never a dull ...
