... to the famous Sigiriya rock, but found it to be super overpriced to hike up and crowded with tourists. So, on some advice we got, we went to the adjacent rock temple. Oh boy did we score. While everyone else crowded on the well-known rock, we hiked the one next to it and got the most spectacular views of Sigiriya rock, and 360 views of the entire region. It was stunning, and a highlight of Sri Lanka.
On to the Maldives! Been as excited as puppies to go here and it exceeded ...

lucky, see some wild-life that lives close by the coast.
We are off taking the highway towards Al Khor. Much closer to Doha there is the usual construction site with cranes scattered all over, piles of sand ...
During breaks we are offered snacks and bottles of water but the show
seems to be endless. It is already 10:30 and we arrived 5 hours earlier…..unbelievable

ladies waiting patiently in their black dresses. Their face is uncovered ...
... such a good way of doing it! So well be teaching these guys at this time every week for the next 6 weeks... I always thought that a full afternoon or full mornings worth of sailing and teaching could get a bit much, I prefer these shorter intenser kind of classes.... This is what's it's like all season.... The only problem is when it gets super busy then we could be running lots of these groups in a row all day and not really getting a break! But hopefully that will be rare ...
... it walked across the stage. Canada (not us...some of the other students) wore Calgary Flames hockey jerseys. Next year when we go to the conference in Argentina (a girl can dream cant she?) we will have costumes and something planned. It was very interesting to see some of the traditional dances performed.
