    ... I was somewhat prepared and had an unsigned (they require it to be signed) email from Tom stating his consent. I fumbled around for so long trying to locate it amongst my other pieces of folded paper that eventually the customs officer said "that's fine, as long as you carry it with you at all times." Phew, we made it. All of that took over an hour and the children were getting hungry...they had been awake for over two hours ...

    ... through Westmount Park and over to Atwater Street. Lots of emergency vehicles as between Maisonneuve and Sherbrooke on the cross street before Green...many fire trucks, police and security vehicles. As I write this there is no news as to the cause for the excitement.
    Lunch at the Chinese Grill on Saint Catherines and a Metro ride back to Vendome and a short stroll home to check on the progress of packing.
