    ... a funicular, so that was neat) and got an amazing view of Montreal. We also explored the Biodome, which is a part of the Olympic stadium converted in a type of zoo. After the biodome, we found lunch and explored the Botanical Gardens. Unfortunately, the butterfly exhibit was closed, so we missed that.

Montreal hasn't really grabbed us the way Quebec did. It's much bigger and more cosmopolitan and with two large universities there is an overrepresentation of student types.     ... Just as we settled in a waitress came and informed us of a mistake. Apparently special club members had booked this room so we were given another, much more crowded table at the other end of the restaurant. Oh well, nice while it lasted!     ... eventually we figured it out, found a parking spot, and ventured into the underground part of Montreal... And we were again, amazed at how big it was! There were tons of boutiques, big stores, pharmacies, whatever one might need!     ... but it meant that my children would not be the noisy ones. I breathed a huge sigh of relief and thanked God, as I had spent the morning praying for my children's behaviour for the train trip.
