    ... the vines to use. The sweet desert wine uses a full plant of grapes per bottle of wine, therefore that makes it the most expensive wine. The tours provided full glass samples... So needless to say we tried about 3-4 wines at each of the 3 wineries so by the time they dropped me off I was ready for a nap!     Up and feeling fine ...(refreshing change) we are doing breakfast and then heading off on the local bus to Perissa beach, it known for its black sand. Well we are out a tad too early, as lucky if the shops are open ...and it's still a little fresh isn't looking to good ..browse the local shops ...they are very nice, meandering up and down stairs and all set in cute white buildings they do !!     ... 900 feet above the waters, clinging to the rim of the caldera and overlooking its tiny port. From a distance, you could see its traditional white buildings and domed churches, but you couldn't quite make out its cobblestone streets bustling with shops, tavernas, hotels, and cafes.     ... Simos informs us is the best driver on the island. Thank God, I thought Ireland was hairy but this was definitely worse. Steep incline up from the dock with hair pin bends.
