After breakfast we rode the quad down to gym but were disappointed to find it was closed, being Sunday so we headed back to the resort and did an 'at home' workout in the room.

The sunbeds were calling our names so we relaxed by the pool for a couple hours before getting lunch at a local restaurant - chicken souvlaki and salad; fresh, healthy, delicious.

... unexplored. As we boarded the bus for our ride to the very top of the highest mountain on the island, we tried no imagine what life was like for those people and what they might have done as they saw the volcano's wrath. Our bus took the narrow switch back roads up the mountain with more confidence than we felt as we noted the immense drop offs just a few feet from the edge of the road. We made it up just fine and stepped out to take some photos of a 360 degree ...

Mind you, someone must have had a sudden spasm as there is one very bright red ...

... We had a 2 p.m. sailing time so took off from our hotel around noon to walk down to Fira and I had decided to walk down the donkey path.

Stopped at an Aussie/English/Greek lady's shop where she paints on fabric to sell. She had some lovely pillows and wine bottle covers. Thought to use them at gifts but at 20 euros apiece, I think they are a lovely gift for ourselves. sorry friends.

... name suggests , it had a view across to the active volcano on the island of Fira. Apparently it last erupted in the late 1860's And is expected to again, scientists are apparently unable to say when though. On day two we went on the catamaran cruise the Bloods got me for my birthday. It was very beautiful. We went to several beaches and the hot springs at the volcano island where the water goes from normal temp to 25ish degrees in a little ...
