I was very fortunate to arrive at the right time to be allowed to see the inside working of the clock tower just prior to the chimes for 10am. The clock is hand-wound and there are a team of volunteers who are tasked with ensuring it ...

... makes any sense. I felt a sense of triumph as we walked home, as though I reclaimed a bit of my identity back that morning. We’re still figuring out how to balance who we are with our lives on the show and today was an important step in doing so.

Fridman finished the door about 30 minutes after we got back and I’ll tell you what: I don’t think our door has EVER worked correctly. It opens and closes so quietly and gently now ...
