The day I visited the museum they had an exhibition about the work of Alvar Aalto. This designer is unique in that he didn't only design the building, he also designed all of the fittings and furniture inside of the buildings. More about him here:

... An interesting local ferry caught Victor's eyes, it had a long wire hooked to it from an overpass about 7 stories high, it just let the current of the river guide the ferry. The locals use them to cross to the other side of the river without walking all the way to the bridge. One would call the Fahrimaa with a bell from the landing stage. ... were Melte and Sabrina Jonsson from Colmar (a town near Strasbourg and one we had talked about visiting) they ended up helping us plan our france week (they commented on how Linda's map and markings were exactly what they would recommend). ... a place to eat lunch. Most of the restaurants were outdoor cafes and it was too cool to sit outside. We found a restaurant that had pizza. We were with Herb, Marsha, and Ellie. We knew prices were very high in Switzerland and kmhad passed restaurants with $50 and $60 meals. We taught pizza would be a good idea. The restaurant was lovely and a 10 inch pizza was $25 francs! ... easy. First we had to get our luggage traced and delivered to the carousel. This is after standing in line patiently. Then the first train to Basel was about an hour late. Not only that but it switched tracks on us, but good thing we met a South African who had family in the French part of Basel and spoke German and he told us of the track switch on the loud speaker.
