It was another early start today, but well worth it. Today we would be visiting Luzern, Switzerland, a beautiful lake town located in central Switzerland. Our first stop was the Lion monument,which was built in the 1800s to commemorate over 700 Swiss guards who gave up their lives in order to protect Louis XVI at the start of the French Revolution. ... being able to sleep. Not much to report on today. We did a few stops at rest areas along the way, a European law for all tour bus drivers...mandatory stops and designated stop times and orders as well. Tuesday morning 30th April was the start of our longest journey (time not distance) yet. We said our farewells to Malison and thanked them for their amazing hospitality. Then we boarded our little ferry across to billy bishop airport (airport on a small island near downtown Toronto). Our arrival date and time in Gränichen Switzerland was 32 hours after our flight out of Toronto and our journey took us via NYC, Helsinki Finland, Paris and Basel.
