Day 102 After the blog had been written last night, we had an intense game of Uno with Ben (Yates), Rob and Jane. Once the additional 'jump ins' rule came into play, the tempo reached fever pitch. ... to the Hotel and was glad to be out of the cold wind. Smart Traveller told me it was a safe city because it said to exercise normal safety precautions. I didn't feel scared when I caught the cab to my hotel.
My cab ride was smooth and I arrived quickly it was about $27 to my hotel. Inside the hotel reception was very busy as there were a group of Australians from Sydney who were checking in.

We left then and walked up to the Q1 building which has a 360 view of the Gold Coast from the 77th floor. We headed up to the observation deck where we took in the spectacular view and had a bit of a snack. There was also a movie about how the Gold Coast came into existence as well as what it's famous for.
