Cruising down the west coast
... an ancient town still in fantastic condition and was really quite interesting. For about 15.00 euro we paid for entry and an audio guide. We planned to be there for some time, but you could imagine the state we were in...tired, short fused, hungry and generally not in the mood for wondering around in the heat! So we headed back to town by about lunchtime..
On the bus again, we were off to Bodrum with the attempt ...

... on but how it happened is beyond me. The boat was not that big and the crowd certainly felt enormous. We left late and the trip took a bit longer than normal (because the boat was so low in the water?) and the poor Australians docked with just 20 minutes to get to their cruise. We'll never know if they made it. We, however, had a simple walk to the bus station to head to Turkey's most famous ruin: Ephesus.

Road Trip!
... Tom , who is the first mate on a luxury yacht for some high ranking officials from another Middle East Country. He was invited to the party too. Given that neither Cassie nor I are brave enough to drive, we were more than willing to share the price of car and gas if he drove. Everything worked out perfect. Friday afternoon, Maya, Cassie, me, and Tom were all heading out of the city for a alaturka road trip….not that I really know what a Turkish Style Road trip ...

So anyway, we spent a considerable amount of time relaxing in the sunbeds next to the pool, reading and dozing, occassionally going for a swim...
