Hidden Cyprus
35° 00 N, 33º 00 E. that's Cyprus, one of the few places in the world where you could get a tan on the beach and then within an hour go skiing in the mountains . Smaller in land mass than Jamaica but twice as big as Barbados. Its smallish but feels spacious because it has less townsfolk per square km, than Barbabos
So you can always find a secluded spot and there ...
PANAGIA TON AMBELION
It is the 27th October, and I am having a car tour with a family friend, Lefteris, who is kind enough to drive me to the different places I want to visit, so that I take pictures and have them posted for my blog. I have already done much walking yesterday, and these places I want to see today- especially this spot of Panagia ton Abelion (meaning the Virgin Mary protecting the vines) reminds ...

BEWARE
AVOID going to ZAKOS Restaurant in the Makenzi area!
I would advise tourists –especially foreigners to avoid eating at–ZAKOS Beach Restaurant.
The restaurant is in this area of Makenzi, and we are brought here by the coach driver. It is very late in the afternoon, and we are hungry, after the day trip and tour we ...

MIXED FEELINGS
MY LIFE IS A WONDERFUL TRIP
Every time I come to this island, I have these mixed feelings. I love walking around Larnaca and spot old buildings, shops, see older people who remind me of those years when I was a teenager. I don't feel more than 18 when in Cyprus believe it or not!
There are times when I lose ...
I've left all the madness of the Balkans behind and have flown on to Larnaca, Cypress. After weeks of Ryanair and Balkan buses, taking a trip on a full service airline was something I am just not used to. Just flipping through Aegean Air's inflight magazine was evidence enough I am out of place and don't belong with the regular airline folks...ads for $5,000 Bang and Olufson televisions were the norm rather than Ryanair's typical $10 rides into Central London ...
Larnaca, Cyprus atlpilot36... tacky racy lingerie, all proudly displayed on clear plastic hangers. It's like the perfect dessert after shopping for your pleasures in Billa. Maybe our friend from Finland could stop by Sofia on her way home and try out her newfound "prettiness" as she called it.
I've left all that shopping madness behind and have made it to Larnaca, Cypress. I've got plenty of time here to explore and see what this desert island has to offer.
... spot is the very Old Church in the centre of the city just where the buses stop. It 's worth visiting as well!! The port is also a nice spot to be visited with restaurants and vendors selling their goods everywhere. The smell of Kalamari, and fresh fish on the grill is everywhere. Octapus hanging outside the restaurants....waiting for tourists to enjoy the Cypriot OUZO or Wine. There is also another alternative of something stronger to drink....this ...
