      ... late start. A slow day, before eventually dragging ourselves out for more bbq ingredients. We were hoping to find the beach with the turtles afterwards, but torrential downpour during our shopping meant that all we got was completely drenched.       ... bought our tickets for the friendly between Vasco and Fluminense. Once inside the stadium we found we were sat in the middle of the Vasco fans, very fortunate as Nowley had bought (and was now wearing) a Vasco shirt outside. The atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic with lots of chanting and banners and everyone leaping out of their seats when the ball got near to the goal. It is such a positive program, the young women really do benefit from it....lots take classes for like manicuring/hostessing or stay in academics...and they do alot of sex education/prenatal/parenting education,....you know, the important stuff, and they even work with the young men who decide to stand by their girlfriends, it~s fantastic.
