A lovely quaint very old area. Stayed in a lovely hotel with great attentive staff would recommend it to any couple looking for a romantic break or second honeymoon. Just off the main shopping street of Corso Umberto but found that the shopping was over priced so don't go expecting any bargains.

The place we're staying at in Catania is very nice, actually nice is the wrong word, it's more like being surrounded by someones favourite things. The whole place is filled with souvenirs from their travels and paintings from their relatives and heaps and heaps of antique furniture.
