... approached at a set of traffic lights by some people wanting to wash windows - no amount of saying no or flicking on the windscreen wipers seemed to deter them. As soon as the lights turned green we shot out of there - and although Louise was ****** at the intrusion she seemed to appreciate the fact that they had actually cleaned most of the front window!

... We left there in time for a short walk through the very expensive via della Spiga, it had all the names, Tiffany's, Gucci, Prada, you name it, they were all there. We then made our way around the corner to Cova, established in 1817, very efficient waiter's and a delightful light lunch. Poor Laurie, after that I dragged him around the shops, he came ...

... effort. I have no idea where we are but it is a 17th century house that Pierluigi has renovated and the features include a well in the room at the bottom of the house and an ancient grape press that was used by the whole village. The house is huge and we are in just one wing of it. The style of decorating is rather quirky and eclectic with some great art on the walls. Pierluigi took is to a local restaurant where he ordered ...
