After a little sleep in, we went downstairs for breakfast. There was a good selection of cereals, bread and croisants, meat, cheeses, fruits as well as coffee and juices. Phillip tried the carbonated water (called water with gas) and found it quite nice. We then left the hotel for the hop on hop off bus stop that was only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. ... of delays in the building!!! It is 158.5 metres long. We then found the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuel one of the oldest malls in the world and this to was beautiful. It seems anything goes in Milan when you need to find a car park!!! We had tea at the hotel, bruschetta followed by lasagna & spaghetti bolognaise which was very tasty indeed. We sat out in the pretty little garden to eat. Have decided to have another early night. This holidaying takes all our energy. Such fun ...

... and it was very beautiful! There was also a little church perched on top of a hill on a little island almost, it was very serene!

This weekend we are travelling to Lake Garda, which I am very much looking forward to, and then Saturday night we are going to a Pizzeria with a number of other families, which will also be very exciting and a good chance to use my Italian!
