The cooking class took just over 2 hours and then we sat with Nonie to eat all that we had prepared, with Tita plating up in the kitchen. The food was just amazing. Incredibly delicious food, made with fresh ingredients and created with simple methods that have stood the test of time.

Wines were served throughout the afternoon and it all went too quickly. What we have learnt will stay with us for a lifetime and we will share on our ...

    1. For some reason Richard had wanted to pop in here - we had debated whether we would - totally glad we did. 2. Being quite amazed as we drove in at the size of the church do Assisi and the town perched on the top of a hill (now there is a surprise!). 3. The contrast between the simplicity of Assisi (giving everything up for the poor) and the scale of the church built in his "honour" 4. Our crazy GPS leading us along some tiny narrow lanes just to get out of Assisi to the main road ...

... similar to Cinque Terre except without the sea in the foreground. Some sort of defence we are guessing. Assisi was an amazing city to approach. High on a hill with the Basilica di S. Francesco jutting out from the hillside it is a huge conglomerate of white stones. This against the treed hills........ We drove up to the city really not knowing what to expect. There was a huge parking lot under the hill. We entered this really not knowing how ...
