      ... excursions similar to the ones we did on the cruise ship. We also swam the most at the spa's pool because it was adults only, which was pretty nice.

      Our hotel was more like a townhouse in a big white concrete row. All these cottages and townhouses like this reminded me of being in Greece and even the spa was decorated similarly. There are also these giant trees that have really pretty bright pink flowers on them that would fall off and onto the ground. ...

      ... to find out she's actually from New York and she quickly set to work helping us. She called our hotel reception and explained, and I assume they were of no help to her as well because she then called the resort director.       ... wildlife reserve. We got to pet our favourite donkey who was always there to greet us and see the boars up close for the first time.

      Once back to our room we showered and got ready then headed down to dinner. It was a buffet style type deal and you got your first plate as the antipasti, then your pasta dish, then the next was your meat plate and the last was your dessert.       We decided to leave Rome a day early and head to Sardinia for the last leg of our European vacation. Our last morning in Rome we went back to Vatican City to check out the line to Saint Peter's Basilica to see if we could get in but unfortunately, it was the largest line we had seen yet. Instead we just took in the view for a couple of minutes and headed back to the hotel to pack up.
