      • started the day with a short jog around the canals at 6.30am some of the previous night's revellers were still in the streets looking a bit the worse for wear
      • a bit of a panic to get organised to be at the secretariat for 7.45, but travel from Central is so easy
      • Google Location History is quite cool though a bit creepy
      • reception at the AMC was friendly

      ... wildlife, but I saw nothing but trees. The guy at the ticket counter at the entrance had said that the wildlife doesn't usually come out until about 6pm, so I slowly made my way to the restaurant in the middle of the park. I bought a couple of sausage rolls for a late afternoon lunch and killed some time on my phone. When I decided it was late enough to head back and maybe see an animal, it had started to rain. A shame, but nothing I wasn't expecting. ...

      ... moving ... a tremendous monument to the tragedy of the Jews in WWII ... but with the faith, humor, and fortitude of a 14 year old girl who believes in all the good in the world.       ... for not realising the sheer popularity of the museum and booking online a long time in advance. The online tickets had sold out when I looked a fortnight ago. After shivering outside in a cold wind for ages, I was second in the queue inside when the guy closed the house for 10 minutes as it was too crowded. I couldn't believe it!
