        ... to Amsterdam leg. Their 3:30pm GermanWings flight the previous day was delayed by hours and finally was cancelled altogether. They were finally provided with an alternate flight with Swissair but that was via Switzerland, which was in the wrong direction and added hours to their flight time. They eventually arrived in Amsterdam at midnight, over 7 hours late. To make matters worse, their luggage didn't make the Swissair flight, which meant they spent their first ...

        ... at the little village of Staphorst where we admired the houses with their traditional green and blue doors, shutters and window frames as well as their magnificently manicured gardens. Finally we made our way to Lelystad and followed the Houtribdijk a 27 km dyke which is in fact a dam......with a lake on each side......across to the fishing village of Enkhuizen accompanied all the way with various "dykes on bikes" comments! This drive was so much more interesting ...

        ... with the iPhone 5c, but pulled the plug. Choices inflicts with business sometimes. It seems contradictory but the customer always has an escape. He can choose not to buy. Simple as that. Anyway, I was looking at the tv. Ads every two minutes of course. But a lot of commercials have been prohibited. (Limiting the number of choices of course.)         ... waiter would never act like that! It may have been somewhat a function of the presence of Andy, though. Andy travels a great deal for business and has learned to counteract the boredom of that process by striking up conversations with anyone and everyone, and asking lots of questions. So it may be that if were were in Amsterdam without Andy, people wouldn’t be so forthcoming. We will have to put it to the test sometime.
