Well you can research countries and destinations and hotels, but you can't control the weather. It was raining and there was thunder and lightning this morning. We were going to catch the boat to visit Cinque Terre but we decided to catch the train around instead.

I haven't written since one of our first nights in Tuscany, and we are now en route to Turkey 2 weeks later. I'll just hit on the highlights, in my view.
