... the strait that separates Italy from Sicily, the Strait of Messina and that was very picturesque. Lots to see on both sides through the binoculars. Had an Asian style buffet lunch, coffee and dessert downstairs, a nana nap and more swimming. The girls, Lance and Michelle went for a workout at the gym. We had a formal night for dinner and then off to the theatre to see Sir Elton John aka Neil Lockwood. Great end to a lovely cruisy ...

They park anywhere, on corners,at angles to the curb etc Everything is or was covered in marble in Rome. On our tour with the local guide she told us about how much of the marble was stripped off buildings over the centuries. Don rested ...

A travel blog entry by sueesposito on Jun 14, 2014

Our next stop was Florence. We had a tour by a local guide who took us to many monuments, churches, statues and squares. We also went straight into view the statue of David. The que for people trying to get tickets was long. In our free time we shopped at the Gold Corner and the leather shop Perucci. Don got a replacement wallet and I bought a lovely bracelet. The rest of the afternoon we wiled away the time having ...
