... and met by Fabio who was most helpful. We are back from the lake but up very high so have great views down to the lake and across to the snow capped mountains.
Began the morning by walking along the waterfront to Cernobbio (suburb)and checked out many a glamorous villa high on the hill overlooking the Lake. Called in to a local trattoria which clearly feeds all the local builders so they were far from interested in us being in ...

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. Sadly, some of it was closed due to the cold (it had snowed a couple days before). So we decided to walk to the Castello di San Vigilio on the top of the mountain. We saw that this road would take us there and it looked short and straight. However, the ...

... level of the train station looking down on a swarm of people quickly making their way to our train. Nourishment forgotten we leap up and make for the elevator, this train does not reserve seats and it looks crazy with people down there. This is beginning to feel like a replay as we run madly down the platform looking for any car that might still have two seats left. Almost at the end of this very long train we find two seats in the same compartment. The man in the ...
