Tom booked us a 2 person room on the comfort car of the train. It had a bunk bed and sink in the room. By the time we got our luggage in, there was barely enough room to turn around. It wasn't quite Envoy class, but at least we had a bed! The train left Rome at 10:30 pm and was to arrive in Catania, Sicily at 9:00am the next morning. We slept off and on throughout the night. After our siesta, we walked up the hill from where we are staying into Montalcino. It's a quaint little town with amazing views. Looking forward to exploring more of Tuscany tomorrow.

... restaurant, while waiting for the soccer repeats to finish and the game to begin. Not tonight Josephine. Waiting for the rain to ease, please Josephine. Better luck with the rain than the soccer, so carefully trotted back to the hotel ducking under shop awnings.

Left the door to the balcony open overnight. So relaxing listening to the waves swish gently against the shore.
