Hmmm what happened today? Oh! Today was the day of terrible food choices. We started our morning off with sampling the grapes in the vineyard we woke up in, they were fermenting on the vine - bad choice. Kory came back from his morning 'stroll' excited to show me that there were black olives growing in the area! He hands me a few and I instantly chomp into them - bad choice. For dinner this evening we had planned to have pizza in the village. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived only to find they only do pizza on ...

Everything I have ever heard about Tuscany is true.
It has beautiful vistas of rolling hills; it has soft colours; it has old square stone buildings set on hilltops; they have straight white driveways leading up tree clad hillsides; there are lots of lovely groupings of slender pine trees; there are lots of terracotta pots with red geraniums, the golden coloured walled villages are romantically ...

The Medici Building Code

... call it the Medici Building Code. In fact, in all of Tuscany all redesigned buildings (and maybe all new ones, too) must have the Tuscany look : Siena orange walls and green shutters and tile roof. After a while, it becomes a parody of itself. Although beautiful at first, by the end of the week the buildings were just mashed together in my mind.
The countryside, on the other hand is gorgeous. It is so gorgeous that it starts to ...
