... check out the aquaduct from the Romans time. We peek into the church, check out the town square. We don't know a whole lot about this town, but the little nooks and crannys are appealing. It strikes you when you walk through the streets here that this is an acient village that is still a vibrant, on the go community now. ... to be built outside the walls to accommodate travellers who arrived after the town gate was closed each night. It was s great place with a huge breakfast almost entirely comprised of local products--wild boar prosciuotto, house bread, local cheeses, etc. So far on the trip we have tried to enjoy the local food & drink specialty whatever that may be. Now we head to the hill town of Montalcino and that means one thing---vino! Not that there isnt local wine everywhere you ...

Day 264 2 hrs, 4.3 kms I figure I'll make one more stop before my next big destination of Livorno. So I hop off the train in the town of San Vicenzo and find... another beach town. This one does have bit more density to it, with a boardwalk and pedestrian street near the sea, and residential neighborhood up into the hills--probably mostly summer homes... Let's move ...

... gain entry to anything, I resolve there is very little worth queuing for on this planet that I haven't already seen. If I miss something so be it. I can live without the stress and frustration.

We live in a large city and have spent time is larger and smaller citiesall over the world but have never had to suffer the lack of facilities or conveniences one must endure in the place as a 'normal' tourist. I suppose 5 star travellers don't have to put up ...
