    ... They were everywhere. In fact I tripped on a couple so desperate they were to eat their crumbs they don't move out of the way very fast.

    It was late afternoon by this stage and we needed to get to Verona to check in to the next hotel. So we retraced our steps to the Metro, and found our car exactly where we had left it - wheels all in tact, no graffiti and no traffic tickets - woohoo!

    ... breath, gazed across at the mountains and the towns beneath them.     George Clooney has a villa just down the road.
