    George wasn't on the train we took from Milan to Venice, but he was spotted by by a couple in our party, near the Town Hall after the civil ceremony. We had a great hotel between the Rialto Bridge and St Marco. On Friday evening we explored the local cicchetti bars (similar to tapas) with our fellow food and wine tour members.

    now being quite skilled on the Milan Metro we headed to the Brera area and the Art Gallery where many famous artists are exhibited. Caravaggio,Rubens, Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Raphael and Bellini to name a few.

    ... eyes they paint a beautiful picture. The town we now pass has a marina with yachts lifting and lowering their heads as they are moored awaiting their next expedition.     ... I wouldn't be returning to Italy during my trip. It all feels a bit nostalgic but when you have family heritage in a particular country I think you're bound to feel a mild sense of gravitation towards the people, the cities and the culture. I felt this sensation and I have to admit the idea of spending more time travelling around Italy sounds like and exciting adventure for the future.
