... we ran into some people we had met in Vernazza. We couldn't get over the fact that we had made so many friends and really appreciated all of the small talk since we could all speak English and they even knew that Wisconsin was a state! We took another train back to Monterosso because it was getting late and then went out for dinner. ... off the rocks for a swim. It was beautiful looking back up towards the town and at all the rock faces etc That night instead of going out for dinner we went to one of the gorgeous wee shops and brought lots of delicious cheeses and Salami and had a nice feast and bottle of wine back at our room.

... eventually found our way to our hotel…what a joke…we had this map that showed the hotel so close to where we were but none of the streets matched, (i think it might have had to do with the fact that, because of the rain, the ink was running and it wasnt long before we had to stop using the map)…very frustrating…finally through the rain and bad weather and some helpful advice from people along the way, we found our hotel…thank God…needless to say, ...
