... look around town and used the photo of the street name to ask directions to it, and found our bikes quite easily.
We decided we would make our way along the coast towards France and chose a place called Ceriale. Decided we would stay here a couple of nights, the weather is warm and nice and the camp is just down the road from the beach and a supermarket. ... we all people watched for the time we were there. JR has the travel bug and hopes to have an "Odd Couple; Felix & Oscar" trip in his future.

After our beach time, we grabbed a bottle of vino to sit on our deck and enjoy the views. Then out for a dinner; we have to keep the boy fed!!!!! We found a cool little Cantina below ground where the food again exceeded our expectations. All in all a good day despite the long travel.........

As the weather was noice today we decided to do a walk to the next town. Following a rockfall a month ago in which four Australians were injured the blue paths along the coastline have all been closed, which is a bit sad. But this may be a blessing in disguise as the walk we did today was stunning. We caught a bus from Manarola to a town called Volastra and I'm glad we did. It was incredibly steep. ... of larger than life ‘cherubs’ adorning the gates…churches with stencils of special motives across their facades and the paisley patterns on the Torre Guinigi….and many, many more….it was a cold night, we walked a long way but had fun and took some great photos .

To end the night we had a drink and a coffee at a couple of different places before calling it a night.

Monday I rode my bike to Carrara- It was 2 hours riding up hill to get to the bus stop that would take me to Colonnata, a tiny village in the middle of the marble mines.
