... It was a nice warm, sunny day so the walk was very pleasant. On 9/8 we took the bus to Lake Mattmark in Saas Almagell to hike around the glacier-fed lake which is man-made for a hydroelectric plant that supplies electricity for the area. After a stop view the interesting geological formations called Les Pyramides, we arrived in Arolla about 4 p.m. and stopped in to the bar for a drink while a couple of vans moved away from the reception unloading area.
Dinner at the Grand Hotel and Kurhaus was a four course affair, and very delicious. ...

No luggage but rain on the first two runs over.
The last time was as I headed to france, via Italy.
Because it was sunny I got to see some of the mountains on the last run, just got wet and saw clouds the first day.

This weekend's trip took us more than 10,000 feet in the air, up-close with the Matterhorn peak! I would certainly say, this was one of the more memorable meals I've ever eaten -Fondue at 10,000 feet! Cheers to high alpine peaks and Swiss cheese! It was difficult not to have your breath taken away, both figuratively and literally! ...
