    ... yes walked , not a typo!!!) down the mountain for 8 kms, as Noel thought it a good idea!! The first km, was dodgy, melting slippery snow and mud, rocks and it was hot !!! I had also bought a cowbell at the shop at the top of the mountain, which wasn't such a good idea ,as I was schlepping down the mountain.     Woke up to another beautiful day in Wengen. Went on a short hike to get a few last minute photos. Arrived in Zermatt and after checking into our apartment, headed straight for the hills to soak in views of the Matterhorn before the predicted rain the next day. Absolutely incredible view.     ... but the meat a little less desirable as I prefer a nice New York Steak or Filet Mignon medium rare. Deserts, you cannot say no to. My one observation, however, is that the chef’s seem to not use any kind of garnish on their plates which leave them a bit more unattractive than they could be.
