... not far from the train station that went up to Pila ski fields. When we got off the train it was easy to find, so we joined the line of people carrying skis, sleds and dressed in snow gear, not many people wearing jeans like us! Got our tickets which was only €12.00 (I had read €60.00) and hopped into a cable car that went for miles,it took 20 minutes to get up the mountain, the ride was fun on its own. Liam was so excited to see white snow ...

... driver, is a very skilful driver in the snow... Scary for us who haven't driven in snow before. Arrived at Tasch after an hour , and arrived Zermatt after a 10min train ride .. And it was still snowing in Zermatt ... And getting quite heavier !!! Made our way thru the Main Street of Zermatt as we made our way to the cable cars... Into the first car... Then the second cable car, before getting off to get another ...

... eventually. Oli and I had a couple of great late afternoon sessions, and on the last afternoon one of the runs into the village opened, so we had a 45 minute ride down from the very top of the mountain into the village.

In the Apres ski department, we found some great little places for dinner and/or drinks including the Brown Cow where we met our new mate Woody from Sydney, Paperla bar where we met 4 US diplomats who were on break from assignment ...
