      ... next 27k to the hotel, so while he sped off with some of the others, I did some ceramic shopping. The patterns on the plates, platters and jugs were really cool, and it was hard to decide which ones to get. Prior to leaving, Ken gave some good guidance so that helped in making decisions!

      ... 8217;t much there so I had run out of things to do. I had breakfast with a Mexican family this time and then sat in the Laundromat for a couple of hours while I washed my clothes. After this I visited the markets and then took a nap. It was a slow day but very relaxing.

      The next stop on my trip is Rome, where I’ll meet Keegan and Jarad. I think it should be fun but I hope the 3 of us will be welcome back after we leave Italy. We’ll see!

      ... that beleaguers the 'sport' in other parts of the world, the Il Palio felt more like a celebration of the community.
