    ... told her we came from NZ.

    We've still got a couple more days in Tuscany, our Italian is improving by the day and the kids are getting more confident in ordering their gelato and making purchases. We use a lot of "Ciao", "Grazie" & "Si" as well as hand signals and head shaking but don't seem to have offended too many people with our limited vocabulary............. so far!

    ... next 27k to the hotel, so while he sped off with some of the others, I did some ceramic shopping. The patterns on the plates, platters and jugs were really cool, and it was hard to decide which ones to get. Prior to leaving, Ken gave some good guidance so that helped in making decisions!

    ... both were part of the symphonic orchestra at the opera in Bologna. She was the first cellist, and he the third horn player. Apparently there's 93 people in the orchestra.     ... plaques. the church like the Domenican church we saw is a vast space with a limited amount of art and sculpture. It also has the contrada flags in it. The frescoes in the church have seen better days and are in need of restoration. We exit the church and find out that the Oratory does not open until one, so we will have to come back if we want to see it.
