... fruit, chocolate crepe and raki (a local spirit, probably metho, but we drank it anyway). I also discovered I quite like retsina, a white wine aged in a pine resin coated cask.

That night I slept through an earthquake, quite a big one apparently, but not big enough that anything fell off anything in the hotel room. N did manage to rouse me for the last five seconds or so, I went straight back to sleep to N's chagrin.

    In the morning, we ...

As I got into Fira I found Sharon and Bob having a drink so I joined them.Later on Daniella and I walked around a bit and chose a restaurant for our supper. ... long we are out of Athens and into the greek country side heading for the ancient temples of Delphi. The GPS doesn't work too bad as long as you give it a drink every now and then and keep up the encouragement that we are moving in the right direction. Arriving at Delphi we hit the museum first as it closes in 1/2 an hour and we are then off up the hill into the acheological site. It is stinking hot and the site is on the side of a very steep hill so we climb and climb and climb. You ...
