    ... fruit, chocolate crepe and raki (a local spirit, probably metho, but we drank it anyway). I also discovered I quite like retsina, a white wine aged in a pine resin coated cask.

    That night I slept through an earthquake, quite a big one apparently, but not big enough that anything fell off anything in the hotel room. N did manage to rouse me for the last five seconds or so, I went straight back to sleep to N's chagrin.

    We boarded the bus at the bottom of the cliff and drove literally, zig-zag up the hill to the very top. I felt that we were at the very edge and would tumble over the side at any moment because the edge of the roadway was the absolute edge of the cliff and any movement in the wrong direction could really be devastating.     ... eating breakfast in our hotel room. Greek yogurt, honey and cereal seemed appropriate. We bought the "low fat" 2% yogurt, instead of the “regular stuff” that was 10% fat. Yikes, is that the same as at home? We had a really awesome day today touring the island on a quad that we rented.     ... like floor of the platform, looking down at the sea and trying to figure out the best place to jump so that we wouldn't be in danger of landing on any rocks. I mean, they were actually pretty deep, so I don't think there was a real threat of us hitting them, but we still wanted to be as safe as possible.

    ... up by its orange glow. That was in deed a visual treat. We were served a local dessert wine that evening. That was our first taste of a Greek wine and it was indeed truly amazing. It set high expectations in out minds about all the wines that we were about to have in Greece.
