... lots of great Venetian artifacts and history. We hopped on a Vaporetto and went to the wine bar Cantina di Schiavi in Dorsoduro and had wine and chequetti. We walked along the south side of Venice (Zattere) and after a quick stop in our room we headed to the Lido. Took another vaporetto back to the Rialto and stopped in two more wine bars with more chequetti, one being Do Mori which is the oldest wine bar in Venice. At sunset, we headed to the ...

We woke and got ready for breakfast. The boys had a better sleep today which was good for everyone! We ate a good breakfast and then hit the pavement! ... Tom, who rested. They came home with lunch of bread, ham, cheese and lettuce - they had seen a woman buying 3 slices of bread at the shops!! But poor old Tom still wasn't feeling well, and went back to bed without eating. As the rest settled down for a nap, I headed out into the rain to take some "atmospheric" photos. The drizzle didn't affect the crowds, although I really felt sorry for the people having their "gondola trip of a ...

... a walk, so the four of us head out to find food and drink. We stop at a canal-side restaurant, have wine, beer and paninis, and watch the boats go by. There must be rules on the canals, but none we readily apparent. Ron and Terry soon join us. Some of us head out for a walk in our area, trying to not get totally lost. The trick seems to be to find your way from campo (plaza) to campo because each has a unique name, while street names can be ...
