... I was walking and imagining how people used to leave here for centuries starting from Medieval times when Venice was the center of the Europe. Walking through that almost empty and peaceful tiny streets I could feel all the history of this gorgeous town. This was the REAL Venice.

I was just walking through this tale enjoying the morning when at about 10 o'clock 1000 of noisy, loudy tourists filled this wonderful place and began to ...

Venice, Veneto, Italy fedck... into Mick I spilled the wine ,right? But get over this the guy took the picture of us with the wine spilled anyway I am attaching both and you will see. Met a lot of nice people today, (Americans) because we were wearing our Cardinal stuff. I did not know there were so many Americans. You are afraid to talk because right away you get the cold shoulder from the Italians so you just stop talking to people and you ...
Venice, Veneto, Italy lucy1279... and attentive staff. The day after a doctor has visited me to understand which could be my problems and the possible best cure to suggest. The doctor has told me he has studied at The University of Padova and specialized in Hydrokinesis and Fango Therapy. Then he visited my wife and at last a specialized doctor explained to her that it is not recommended to do an extreme diet a week yes and the other not! Let's hope that she will make good use of the ...
Abano Terme, Veneto, Italy gbhotelsabanoWe made our first trip to Venice today after a failed attempt of getting on the wrong train and going all the way to Slovenia! We were happy that we got it right this time! And since it is January, it was a bit on the cold side. But we had fun exploring and getting lost. I had no idea Venice was so big. We must have ...
Venice, Italy nikmarks79... maid through two holes in the first floor looking down to the entrance. Due to the slightly prohibitive costs, I haven't really bought much... I'm also sort of saving my dollars (or Euros) for Florence so I don't mind! I have however, bought a cheapo new pair of sunnies (lost my other ones when looking for jeans on my last day at work - dammit), a cream pashmina (it was a bit cold on the ghost tour) and a gorgeously massive red-wine coloured Murano glass ring. So very well behaved for me!
Venice, Italy travelkatWell, here in the outer suburb of mestre (not on the venice island itself), i had for dinner, the BEST spagehtti a funghi (mushroom) ever!!! Fantastic. The waiter even gave us extra free schnapps (licorice) at the end.. of which drank ine AND Naomi's becuase she nearlz vomitted it back up.. hehe... so a whicksy, and two schnapps later we wandered back down the street to the hotel. Obviously we were going to see the island.,.. but tomorrow. and when we got there.. AWESOME! old, breezy, water ...
Venice, Italy littlerunt... me. I bought a bunch of grapes at the market today. They tasted real like I had when I was growing up-not like the supermarkets. They have a huge fresh veggie market full of beautiful things-if I come here again I want to rent a little apartment so I can cook. They also have the most unreal fish market next to it...everything on ice and priced in kilos. There are little dogs running around all over the place. Venice can have an oldish smell when you walk down certain ...
Venice, Italy rachaelnicholls... Collesium, which even in off peak time was filled to the gills with tourists. I had the dubious experience of being separated from the group with some other lolly-gaggolers, and then we had to beat, (and I mean beat) a path through some very angry Chinese to catch up with our guide - she was stunned we were hesitant to push and shove - comes easily to the locals, believe me!! Elbows are to be used on any and all too slow, dim or inattentive to keep moving! This was an interesting tour ...
