Could it be we saved the best for last. This is a quaint town, very clean and vibrant as you walk the narrow streets back into the town. Of course Michael & I Must start out the day with a hike so we take to the cliffs above the city --the city fortress in the 1300s. It is massive and affords amazing views. Please check the out. The ancient Greeks also called it “The island of the god Hephaestus”, because they believed that Zeus, in one of their quarrels with Hera, threw annoyed his son Hephaestus in the territory of the island. Capital in Lemnos is Myrina, where visitors can admire some brilliant stone mansions. The island has many fertile plains and ...

    Where has the wind gone!

A travel blog entry by mbkh11 on Sep 09, 2013

Today was suppose to be 'the' day for wind this week according to Wind Guru, but hey it was wrong, even less then yesterday, resulting in no kites what so ever being out on the water. Highly disappointing but hey if a sport relies on the weather can't really complain. So vegged on the beach, did very little soaking up the sun, view and atmosphere. Maybe tomorrow wind guru is wrong and there actually is wind when it says there ...
