... quarter. It is a small town here, but holds a nice tourist free feel to it.
We are now making the most of having the freedom to roam as in 3 hours, we will embark on a 28 hour journey up to Tromsø in the Arctic Circle.

P.s. Many thanks to all that are reading our blog, and remember that you can leave comments.
Trondheim, Trondelag, Norway ktandash... br>
Alesund was the next stop, a place of 40,000 souls with the largest fishing fleet stationed out of its port. After climbing the 418 steps to the top of the Aksla mountain in the middle of and over looking Alesund, one gazes upon a town constructed in the Art Nouveau style. The original town burned down completely in 1904 and this 'new' place is amazing. Wonderful buildings. At Alesund a person is introduced to several sub-sea tunnels ...
Trondheim, Trondelag, Norway ehjelterOur first stop this day was Trondheim, Norway's first capital city and a trading post for thousands of years. Apparently the first ever export of American goods to Europe took place here around 1000 AD. After the capital moved to Bergen (1217), Trondheim became Norway's religious center (actually, pilgrims started coming to the shrine of St. Olav 200 ...

Røros, Norway sannyIt's been a glorious wonderful day here in Trondheim. Nothing beats this town in great weather. It's extremely cold -12 degrees with a breeze which makes it very invigorating (read insanely cold!)

I drove around Trondheim photographing all day today. I went back to some of the places from my childhood, even back to the house where I grew up.

I've spent the last few days with my family and friends in Trondheim. I'm looking forward to skiing at Oppdal on Thursday.
Trondheim, Norway psykokristin... all be fine. That's about all I have to say for now. Again I wish I was able to include my photos with this post as I took about 100 on the journey and in Rørøs today, as well as some video with some pretty poor commentary by me, but I have to wait until Blake gets here to figure out how to do that. Until next time, Happy Australia Day to everyone and I will speak to you all again soon! xoxoxox Amy

Lake: Femunden (no city), Norway -oedipus-... Mostly just sandwiches, meat, WAFFLES and coffee. We only stayed for one night. The next morning, we woke up and ate breakfast at 7 and at 8, we had to wait for the bus to take us to Heimdal, our next stop. I will have to tell you about Heimdal and the rest of the trip later because I have to head off with the group to meet up with Inger at the Cathedral for the next part of our day. I will be back on here regularly soon. Ha det bra!!
Røros, Norway jess06... mushrooms earlier in the day so I got to see a good-sized pile of fresh wild mushrooms which was kind of cool. I can't think of anybody at home who goes picking wild mushrooms. Anyway, we had a tour of Røros, I went and visited with Ingrid's parents, joined the group again for some tasty pizza, then we went back to the hotel/hostel for the evening. In the morning we got up quite early in order to catch the bus to Trondheim.
