... had been and oh so different for Heure Bleue in Essaouira. We were certainly getting variety.......but it gets better. When our room was finally ready we were told to go and pay the cashier before even seeing it! Our check in staff member just gawked when he saw my Australian Passport and exclaimed that he had never seen one of those before. I thought he was going to keep it as a souvenir. ... sent a text message to Marlene from Casa (blanca) to announce my imminent arrival. 1h later, we were finally reunited after more than 50 years without any contact, except for a few Skype calls and emails since October 2011.

Quite unbelievable, but bar the odd wrinkle or two, and a few silver locks, we hadn't changed much: two girls of yesteryear sharing tears and laughter and ever so ...

Agadir

Today we have experienced different aspects of Agadir life following the devastating earthquake that flattened most of the city back in 1960. Almost all of the original city was destroyed and the new city of Agadir built a few kilometres from the epicentre of the quake. The original site is now a memorial to the thousands who perished in that quake. Our port is in the container depot, so not quite such an exotic vision as we woke ...
