... so that we could check in for the flight tomorrow to Venice. While Peter and I slaved in the IT room, the ladies went for a gallop around the Mall.

Finally sorted, we headed to Dubai Mall where Peter & Roselyn took the journey up the tallest building in the world - Burj Khalifa. 124 floors in about 30 seconds and a great view - except for the dust in the air. The locals tell us this is a bad season for it this year and Peter ...

However, the Chinese, not to be outdone, are hot on the heels of this prestigious award and the Shanghai Tower is well under construction. When complete, this will stand a whopping 632 metres high.

After a light lunch in the Marina Mall we now had to figure out how to get to the monorail. We ...

We were staying in the commercial and textile quarter of the town. The hotel was a very low grade, but the people were really sweet who were running it. We were the only white people around and definitely the only tourists. The area came alive in the early evening, I thought that this was because of the cooler temperature. We took a taxi to Burg Khalifa, the tallest building in the world as our plan was to go to the top. We asked the driver how ...
