... Oh no, I've booked a sex hotel". Turns out that I booked a place for honeymooning couples. And I showed up by myself. Awkward. Stupid interweb, not telling me these very important details! Although, in the internet's defence, I may well have read that information and not absorbed it because I was so tired. The other awkward thing about the hotel was that it was in a bit of an out-of-the-way location. Great for romance, but not practical in this weather with no ...

... of the cove, my son and I, my friend sat in the forest and just relaxed, absorbing the atmosphere. Later we waited for the shuttle to pick us to the temple and took a look at the small museum there, which introduced some history of Mt. Fuji. It's surprising that it erupted not long time ago, in the nineteenth century. We also saw the different routes to reach its peak, from 3 different starting points. I was thinking of climbing Mt. Fuji at that time, but now as I write ...

... our descent and walk slowly down. Now the suffering starts as climbing down is becoming the bigger challenge than the hike up. The gravel is loose and you have to pick carefully where to step without loosing the balance.
Now I regret that I wear soft shoes and my toes start to hurt. The climbing down takes all of our forces and we think that we have used the same amount of time as going up.
