This review is one year after my stay but I remember the hotel had 1) the most comfortable bed/pillows I've ever slept in, 2) the best breakfast ever and 3) a long, cold walk into town. It's not my typical choice to stay at a Hilton full of business travellers, and I'd prefer to have been more central but the hotel came with the flights and it really was very comfortable and pleasant to stay there. There is a shuttle into town but it doesn't always feel convenient to take. I did try out the local bus as well as taking a taxi back late one night when I was too cold to wait.

July 7-25, 2015 We finally made it to JFK for our flight to Reykjavik, Iceland after a delay of 2:30 hours. We made our connections because the flight to Reykjavik was also delayed. Delta comfort was great especially since the third person moved. We had all 3 seats to ourselves. I loved using my new noise cancelling headphones and I slept off and …

Alternate title: you walrus hurt the one you love! We had a jammed packed day in Iceland that began with our free breakfast in the exec lounge, a perk of being Hilton gold. We then took to the road to drive what is commonly referred to as the golden circle. Stops along the way included Thingvellir, the rock formation that was the seat of Icelandic …

After a technical difficulty, our flight made it to Iceland. We were a bit fascinated by the "luggage" people had placed on-board including a VERY large propane grill and a set of tires. I have heard that shopping in the U.S. is less expensive than other parts of the world, but these items made me giggle :) On the bus from the airport to Reykjavik …
