After exhausting bus ride, we were happy to get to or hotel room. Our exchange partners were great and right after they proposed dinner, we forgot how tired we are. With 2 of my friend we took short walk around the city center just before we went to bed.

... during the holidays, it's basically warm red wine with spices, I have yet to try it though. I found out that Germany DOES have egg nog and that was a great discovery. They also have Jaeger Tea...weird? so I have a few more things I must try before the season ends. There is seriously so much food being served that it's impossible to try all of it. They have a lot of spiced nuts and these things they make from mashed potatoes where they basically take some meat and pack mashed potatoes around ...
Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany toriluskBefore I begin, some interesting facts about Germans I have learned:
1. Germans are absolute gluttons for fresh air. It could be zero degrees outside and they will declare that a room is stifling and insist on opening all the windows. Every day I go to school wrapped in shirts, sweaters, jackets, tights, pants, socks, leg warmers, gloves, scarves, and hats. After my long journey, I finally reach the teacher's lounge and peel off everything, only to go to my ...
... to listen in but was ushered off the train before I could catch anything. That man boarded the next train with us so I'm guessing that they got everything sorted.
Train #2 was a decent enough ride but it only took us halfway. Fortunately the man sitting next to me realized that I couldn't really understand what was happening and he was keen to help even though he didn't speak any English himself. When I got off to board ...

Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany cariverga... Italy. They are really actually small towns instead of cities, consisting of tiny and brightly painted apartment buildings, crawling down the cliffs to the ocean. These apartments and small stores are split with narrow, maze-like alleyways that are incredibly exciting to explore and impossible to keep track of.
In Cinque Terre there are approximately four things to occupy your time: eating, drinking, laying on the beach, and hiking. Katie ...
... coming home? In July, but whether or not I'll stay is another story.
12.) Do you like it in Germany? Yes, I like it but that doesn't mean I'm going to stay here forever either.
13.) Is it cold there? The weather is basically just like it is in Oregon. It's rainy and once in awhile it snows in the winter, but only a couple of inches. In the summer it's not quite as hot, but that's not a bad thing for me.
