Today I woke to my iPad ringing, dad was skyping, I forgot he was doing that. After Skype was finished I went to the bus station to do a two hour guided bus tour around Zurich of the "Classic Trolley" with the official city tour group. I meet some people from London and Scotland and we are hoping to catch up at the fire works down by the lake at midnight. The afternoon I had a little rest. ... takes about 15min. Train is very quiet & smooooth to ride in.
We wore our little legs & feet out for about 3 hours walking along the river/canal down to the lake & "the Old Town", branching off the main drag to explore to narrow paved streets, with colourful flower box gardens on window sills, and the cheerful side-walk cafes dotted everywhere.

... a little bit smaller and missing the famous bridge. In true Swiss style Stefan had a full program planned for us today. We headed north past Appenzell and took a cable car to Ebenalp. Fom there we walked down a very very long way to the Sealpsee Lake. On the way we encountered a Swiss musician who sat on the hillside playing his piano accordian and entertaining the walkers.
