Fairly uneventful day today which will be obvious by the lack of blog and photos. We are currently in Toulon, Southern France. Toulon is home to the French navy which is obvious by the amount of naval ships docked here. I guess in France was ever at war then this place would be a prime prospect for bombing. A It is also home to the Toulon Rugby Club who are current European champions. Quite funny seeing large pictures of Ali Williams all over the place. For a ...

You may recall that earlier in the day we had visited the town's market; it contained a number of stalls lining just one street and sold any fresh food you could possibly ever want. By comparison, Auchen had an entire aisle, about the length of the street where the ...

    Viva la France!

A travel blog entry by nicolapollard on May 27, 2013

It all started with an overnight bus trip from London to Paris on a friday night, worst idea ever! Absolute chaos at the London eurolines station! Finally on the bus at 10pm, half an hour late, and on our way. We were on the bus for about 2 hours then changed onto the ferry for an hour and a half then about 4 hours from there to Paris. Managed to get quite a bit of sleep so arriving in Paris at 9am wasn't too bad. We were experts using the Paris underground after all our ...
