... that has been able to preserve, protect and respect the beaches of Manly, Brontee and Brondi from real-state speculators (totally opposite from what has happened in the Mediterranean), with some good examples of early XX century architecture, few skyscrapers and two iconic constructions: Victoria bridge over the bay and the Opera building (this last building is just amazing from the outside but more spartan than a Lutheran church from the inside). It is a cosmopolitan city ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia tonicastells... expensive though but it was nothing to rave about (Edna could have made better). I would not recommend it to anyone as it was overpriced. Well you will remember that we mentioned the steps in Sydney, well to top the night off when we went to get the lift down at the end of the night, none of the lifts were working. We were in the highest building in Sydney - 80 floors up!!!! Can you imagine what Edna's face was like when they suggested that ...
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia ednabuchan... we spent just over 2 1/2 hours looking through boxes trying to find people their numbers and moving them on to other people. We got looked after well with really good free sandwiches and water. We arranged what time we would be required from on the Sunday and then had to pick LJ's jaw off the floor cause they said meet at 6am at the Opera House. Not 100% sure what we'll be doing but they think after setting up, giving out water and possibly medals at the end which ...
Sydney, Australia gaz-lj... cheap. Listened to a street artist playing didgeridoo. It sounded really cool. Went back to the Hotel where we took a 2.5 hrs. nap. Took the bus to the Sydney Harbour and went on a ferry ride to Rose Harbour. One the way back we saw people climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Walked to The Rock's where we strolled around and watched a very intensely red sunset. Walked back to the Hotel and made dinner in the room. Yummy soups and bred.
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia andreasjahn... wine & raisin region. Mildura is in Victoria & on the other side of the river is NSW. We didn’t have any time to look around Mildura, which is a shame, and I’d like to go back and have a decent look sometime. That night we all watched the DVD that Kay bought about Len Beadell, the guy who opened up Outback SA & Northern Territory in the 1950’s under commission form the Government, looking for a ...

Sydney, Australia stefanieandalex... born and grew up here; in fact "The River Town" is based on Kempsey. After a couple of weeks, even though the holidays weren't over, we decided to bite the bullet and head over to South West Rocks on the coast. SWR is a lovely little place with 4 superb beaches all completely uncrowded and with amazingly soft, clean sand - though it took a while for us to use them as there were bluebottles (marine stingers) everywhere for a ...
Sydney, Australia lindavid1... doll in Moscow, Russia, complete with actual player's names from the team on the dolls. I saw a Purdue one there as well. Who in Moscow is going to buy a Purdue football nesting doll? Their generally ****** sports (with the exception of Aussie Rules Football, which is awesome) Despite this list of dislikes, they are all pretty minor, and I really love Sydney and Australia, and although I miss home a little bit, I'm pretty sad to be leaving here in five days.
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia cwendeln...
