De reis naar Bonito, eerste etappe
... en Ilhabela had Robi zijn eerste 1000 km al in Brazilie gereden en was hij al aardig ingeburgerd in het verkeer. De volgende bestemming is Bonito. Wij verwachten hier aan te komen met twee tussenstops, waarvan de eerste in Itu, ca 4 uur rijden van Ilhabela.

Woke up around 8am and had breakfast of cheese & ham toasties, tea and fruit. Andre had a few errands to do so we went with him and Ana for the ride and an intro to Sorocaba. We went back at lunchtime where Ana prepared us spag bol, then she had to go to work whilst Andre went to the doctors with his bad knee. We stayed at the flat and did some washing, and then relaxed. Back on the road
... nowhere the other day. It was a relief to get out of the noisy city for a bit. Geez....there are definitely no noise laws here. I don't think any of the cars have mufflers, and they have these "advertisement" cars that go around town playing commercials 24/7. I think all the cement like reverberates the sound or something. It's a family affair
... tired by the end. As we were climbing a little hill back to the car she stated, "Subidona", which is apparently a completely made up word that kids come out with sometimes. This one meant ´A hill that´s hard to climb´. Poor little Cherub. I found out as well that it´s polite in Portuguese to say ´Oi´ to get someone´s attention. In fact it just means hello.
