... Carpe diem' is our trip motto!) That idea was short lived. Yes, they were in fact miserable and not the place to spend the night so as daylight faded we retreated to the car. The upside of the experience; now we know!

... As the weather across Britain was extreme this morning, we were reluctant to venture outdoors, until the miracle of Kim's efforts on the stairs, parted the clouds and allowed the sun to shine. Although the howling wind remained, the rain ceased, so we tried our luck with the elements. Fearing Kim's episode may have put paid to the rest of the holiday, we were all very relieved to see her on her feet and donning the boots, to take on the great outdoors yet ...

HALLOWEEN!!!

I was Elphaba from Wicked or the wicked witch of the west for people who haven't see wicked. I was green for THREE days but it was totally worth it.

It was also Emma's birthday so we had a party at our house before going into town.
